STROKE-BY-STROKE ROWING POWER ASSESSMENT

Rowers and coaches commonly use a single stroke to define peak power in a short duration erging test. Does this approach leave out useful information? New research suggests that a stroke-by-stroke analysis using a free app and a bit of extra effort can yield valuable insight into peak power testing, with influence on how and why we perform power training and plyometric exercises for rowers.
