Those percent-to-rep correlation charts hanging in every training room and distributed in strength training resources look simple and appealing, but are they accurate and informative for all populations? If one athlete achieves 10 reps at 80% but another athlete achieves 15 reps at 80%, can we still use percent-1RM as a valid tool for evaluation and programming?
